We’re taking a look back and featuring stories of amazing entrepreneurs who graduated from our E-Series Program!
Meet Kate Garthwaite + Theresa Pedersen of Left Field Cider Co., E-Series Class of 2014!
Sisters Kate Garthwaite and Theresa Pedersen are the co-founders of Left Field Cider Co., a fast-growing cider-company in the BC interior. The company stemmed from Kate’s idea to make her own cider. Kate discovered her passion for cidermaking after taking a course at the University of Washington, which was taught by renowned English cidermaker, Peter Mitchell. Since 2011, Kate, Theresa and their parents Gord and Deb have been making small batch full juice cider in Logan Lake, BC. Below, Kate and Theresa share about their entrepreneurial journey and their E-Series experience.

Since launching our company, the highlight of our entrepreneurial journey has been having the opportunity to work everyday with your sister. We feel very fortunate to be able to make a product that we are proud of together as a family.
3. What is the best piece of advice you took away from E-Series that you’d like to share with others?
The best piece of advice that we took away from FWE is that there are so many people out there that want to support you and see you succeed. Don’t be afraid to reach out to ask for help and advice.
